Tip Tuesday - Mail Rules

This weeks Tip Tuesday we look at how you can create “rules” within your emails to help manage your inbox.

Do you get emails that are just for reference? Lets say a daily briefing email? You need to keep it, reference it, but it doesn’t need any other action. Create a rule. That email could automatically be sent to a sub folder off your inbox for safe keeping, it doesn’t clog up your main mail box but its there ready and waiting for you to reference super quickly when you need it.

Email rules are surprisingly easy to set up, you can either click on the email in question and select rules on the tool bar at the top of Outlook or you can right click and create a rule.

Happy auto sorting your inbox!
