Tipmas - Ask twice

Day 11 of Tipmas

Today we are sharing the time to change campaign - Ask Twice.

I am a huge advocate for mental health and wellbeing for everyone - you may have noticed the theme with some of the Tipmas posts!

This is a campaign I can really get behind because it’s such a simple thing that we could all really easily adopt this approach!

Ask twice, when someone says they are ok. Trust your gut, if you have noticed that they have been a little flat, not themselves, or you just feel for whatever reason they might not be ok, ask again. So simple. But what an impact. That second time of asking may just prompt someone to open up and ask for the support that they really need.

Christmas is a wonderful time of year, but it can bring a lot of pressures, money worries, family arguments among other things that can cause someone to not be ok. Just ask again, you may just provide a life line to someone. If you find someone that needs support there are a lot of charities that can provide the support someone needs. Here are a few to get you started - all names are clickable links:

Please remember there will also be local charities, so please go on your search engines and find your local support as well if needed.

Hopefully everyone in your life is ok, and by asking twice you are doing nothing more than just sending the message that you are there should they ever need you. Either way it’s a wonderful thing to do.

Here’s the funny video for the time to change campaign. Well worth a watch just for a giggle at what is a very serious topic - but helps to get the point across beautifully!
