Tipmas - Last minute present ideas

Day 10 of Tipmas

Suddenly remembered someone that you haven’t got a present for… or gone to order something and realised it is out of stock or the delivery date is well after Christmas? Heres a couple of ideas for last minute presents:

  1. Photo collage

If you have a lot of photos with the person in question and have a printer that can print fairly decent colour pictures, why not make a collage / photo wall of all your favourite memories or funny photos? You could even add quotes or memories under the photos to make it extra personal.

  2. DIY Hamper

Why not make up your own hamper for someone? You can easily do this with one trip to the supermarket. You don’t need to buy big things, and to make the hamper itself be eco friendly and reuse a box in the house already, just remember to pick up some tissue paper in the supermarket to make it look nice! Some hamper ideas:

    1. Chocolates (always a good start)

    2. Dvd’s / boxsets

    3. Pyjamas / slippers

    4. Face masks

    5. Bottle of wine or something special (if they don’t drink alcohol, a lovely special hot chocolate, tea or coffee box)

    6. A special pudding ( If chilled or frozen you will need somewhere to keep this cool and hide before adding on the day)

    7. Crisps and dips (I mean who doesn’t love this as a snack! If you want to make it special opt for the fancy versions the supermarkets do)

    8. Book / Magazine

    9. Arts and crafts things, think sketch pads, colouring pencils, paints etc (if your recipient is the crafting type)

    10. Gift Card

  3. The gift of skills!

Is your recipient someone who maybe wants to learn new things? An online workshop subscription (such as Skillshare) or a gift voucher for a local business that offers that kind of class would be a great gift to give someone.

  4. Letter

When was the last time you told this person how much they mean to you? Have you ever? Do you just assume that they know? Why not write a letter to let them know exactly what they mean to you and why you are grateful to have them in your life. Would go amazingly with tip 1!

  5. Donations to charity

Make a donation to a charity that would really mean something to the person. Dog lover? Find a charity that fits that; guide dogs, dogs trust etc. Are they an advocate for a cause or under taken any volunteering for a cause they believe in? - Wrack your brains I am sure with a little help from a search engine you can find a charity to donate to. Please make sure you check the registered charity number before you make any donations to any charities which you haven’t heard of before!

I hope this has help to alleviate any last minute panic and given you a gift idea!

Happy last minute gifting!
