Tipmas - Highlights of 2020

Day 9 of Tipmas

Following on from our small wins celebration post. I wanted to look at the bigger things, time to think back over the year and all the highlights you had. Whether personal or work related, what were yours? I would love to celebrate with you!

Here are my top 5!

  1. Starting EC Support

Something that was on my 10 year bucket list, brought dramatically forward by the theme of the year that COVID has provided us “Life is too short”.

  2. The skills I have learned

I am always challenging myself to learn new things (especially tips and tricks to share!) but the amount I have learned in 2020 is HUGE. I have pushed myself out of my comfort zone more this year than any other year, and because of that I have learned things I never thought I would ever know how to do!

  3. The support

I know a lot of people thought I was completely bonkers packing in my secure corporate job and setting up my own business (especially in the middle of June - literally no excuse to say I didn’t know about COVID!) The outpouring of help, support, advice, and just all round cheerleading that I received from people was incredible. In some cases it was from people I never in a million years would have thought would share my posts about what little me was up to, and yet people were offering me help with all kinds of things. To everyone that has ever shared or liked a post, to everyone that has offered support or guidance, or never questioned my ability to do this THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. Thank you a million times over, you have helped to support me, my dream, and my little business get up and running and survive the first 6 months THANK YOU.

  4. First ever invoice

This one I am so proud of, my first ever invoice going out the door. To someone who decided to take a chance on me and be my first ever client. Invoice 1 was something people had a lot of opinions on, “it should be 100 to hide that it’s the first one!” I decided to trust my gut and I issued INV-001. I have never been so proud of an achievement.

  5. Friendships & small business support

The friendships I have made this year have been incredible. Other small business owners that have supported me and become friends, through to the people who I knew at my corporate job but have stayed in contact and since become good friends. I never take for granted the connections and people I have in my life. A special thank you to all those that made this the year we became friends.

I would LOVE to hear your top 5, what are the things that you are proud of this year that you have achieved? They don’t have to be huge, they can be anything, as long as its something positive to you that’s what matters!

Happy 2020 highlight remembering!
